Mindful Forest Hikes

Have you noticed how wonderfully relaxed you feel when outside in nature?

“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts.” —Rachel Carson

If this is true for you, you might like to join us for a Mindful Forest Hike, co-led by Julie Woodward, co-founder of Mindful City Ann Arbor, and Elle Bogle, Washtenaw County Parks Naturalist. We offer monthly, seasonal walking sensory meditations in the beautiful natural settings of Washtenaw County’s Parks.  Re-awaken your connection with the natural world and your local community as you experience the beauty of the parks through your senses.

Mindful Hike Mini-Retreat:

Sowing the Seeds of Connection; Mindfulness in Chaotic Times Date and location to be announced

In the midst of the uncertainty and chaos of current times, being able to find a sense of calm within is more important than ever. Join us for this afternoon experience of reconnection with nature, ourselves and all of life; explore body-based meditation practices that support you in opening to greater calm and peace.

This immersive experience offers hikers a deeper dive into the practice of sensory meditation than we usually offer in our monthly WCPR hike series. Activities include a sensory meditation hike, guided reflection practices, group discussion, and journaling exercises. Join us to explore yourself, your community, and the beauty of the season.

Facilitators: Elle Bogle, naturalist, and Julie Woodward, mindful yoga teacher and wellness coach.
